Have you set boundaries for yourself?




What you will and won't tolerate, not just from others, but from yourself too…


Sounds a little strange I know, but hear me out…


See we learn to set boundaries with what we will and won’t tolerate from other people in our lives… how we allow people to talk to us, how close we allow them to get, etc. it took me a long time to understand how to set these (being the people pleaser that I am)


Thing is, we often don’t set boundaries for ourselves with what we will and won’t tolerate from us.


Well I didn’t, and I’m sure I’m not alone.


Negative self talk Not being disciplined to eat healthy Not exercising enough Not taking enough time out for myself (ME time) Not saying no! Not taking action Not learning what works for me


Boundaries!


I’m much better than I used to be, certainly not perfect! But much better.


Like saying no, without the guilt


Or


making time for me, again, without the guilt.


Good healthy boundaries.


Those boundaries we set for ourselves are the most important and they are what have helped me through all my healing and growth stages.
